Dad deserves a treat. Make this Father’s Day one to remember with homemade funnel cakes—a fun, festive alternative to traditional pancakes or donuts.
Ingredients
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup water
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
canola oil for frying
powdered sugar and fresh sliced strawberries or strawberry syrup for garnish
Directions
Add eggs, milk, and water to theWhiskware™ Sauce Mixer, toss in the mini BlenderBall® wire whisk, close the lid tightly, and shake.
In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients together. Add wet ingredients and stir well until smooth, then ladle a portion of batter back into theWhiskware™ Sauce Mixer.
Heat oil to 375° in a deep cast-iron skillet. When hot, create mini fist-sized funnel cakes by pouring batter into oil in a spiral motion.
Cook each cake for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels and repeat until all batter is used.
Serve dusted with powdered sugar and topped with fresh sliced strawberries or strawberry syrup.
