Honeycrisp Apple Salad

It’s tough to beat the sweet, fresh flavor of Honeycrisp apples. Here, they’re combined with candied pecans, dried fruit, pungent blue cheese, and a homemade vinaigrette in a vibrant salad for your holiday celebration.

Ingredients

Serving Size: 1 Cup Salad

3 medium Honeycrisp apples, thinly sliced

juice of 1/2 lemon

12 ounces salad greens

1 cup candied pecans

3/4 cup dried cranberries or cherries

4 ounces crumbled blue cheese

1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup unsweetened apple juice or apple cider

2-3 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

lack pepper, to taste

  1. Toss apple slices with lemon juice in a sealed container, to prevent browning. In a large salad bowl, add salad greens, apple, pecans, cranberries or cherries, and blue cheese. 

  2. Add oil, vinegar, apple juice or cider, honey, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to your Whiskware Dressing Shaker and whisk together. Add to salad and toss to coat just before serving.
